Parker’s Energy Products Division Awarded Umbilical Contract in Gulf of Mexico’s Green Canyon

Stafford, Texas, February 23, 2010 - The Energy Products Division (EPD) of Parker Hannifin Corporation, the global leader in motion and control technologies, has been awarded a contract by LLOG Exploration Company for their Green Canyon 448 discovery in the Gulf of Mexico. The project consists of 28.3 miles of subsea tieback. Parker, through its Parker Cabett Subsea business unit, will provide a steel tube electro-hydraulic control umbilical of 150,000 continuous feet, along with interface terminations and installation assistance.

"We appreciate the on-going partnership with LLOG to supply them with subsea umbilicals for their deepwater projects. As this is one of the longest tiebacks to date in the Gulf of Mexico, our engineering and project management team is excited to add this to our list of successful projects delivered world-wide," said Craig Anderson, General Manager of Energy Products Division.

This project is one of the longest offset oil producing subsea tiebacks in the world. Parker Energy Products Division received the work due to the long standing relationship with LLOG and their continuing trust in EPD’s products and services.

EPD’s manufacturing facility, located in the Port of Freeport, Texas, will manufacture the umbilical and execute the complete contract. Delivery is scheduled for June 2010.
